TAL | Tech Art Lab é uma produtora e plataforma cultural que cria, produz e apresenta projetos contemporâneos, artísticos e transdisciplinares, físicos e digitais, no Brasil e no exterior. A TAL trabalha com artistas, curadores e produtores renomados e jovens que têm suas obras e projetos em eventos e instituições como: Bienal de Veneza, Coleção Berardo, Itaú Cultural, MAAT, Haus der Elektronischen Künste, Pylon Hub Lab, MAM RJ, Museu Reina Sofia e Museu Getty. O portfólio da TAL compreende mais de 30 exposições individuais e coletivas, festivais, residências, laboratórios e intercâmbios culturais, bem como colaborações com: HarddiskMuseum, Green Art Lab Alliance, no.stereo, The Wrong New Digital Art Biennale, Re_Act Contemporary Art Laboratory, Jacaranda, 55 SP, Festival Multimídia Dotmov, entre outros. Gabriela Maciel, fundadora e diretora da plataforma TAL | Tech Art Lab, artista multimídia, diretora e curadora de projetos culturais online e presenciais com foco em arte contemporânea e práticas transdisciplinares, sendo os mais recentes: Direção e curadoria de web residências e exposições online: TAL Session 1 Brasil – Suíca, em parceria com o HarddiskMuseum e com o apoio do Pro Helvetia South America (2021); Alterando Paisagens, em parceria com Yasmine Ostendorf, Green Art Lab Alliance e com o apoio do Dutch Ministry of Culture (2021); Futuros Possíveis com artistas nacionais e internacionais (2020); curadoria da The Wrong New Digital Art Biennale, Rio de Janeiro (2018 e 2014); co-curadoria do Re_Act Laboratório de Arte Contemporânea, em parceria com no.stereo, Arquipélago dos Açores (2017); curadoria do Dotmov Festival Multimídia da SHIFT Japan, Rio de Janeiro (2016 e 2011). TAL | Tech Art Lab is a cultural organization. Founded in 2011, it creates, produces and presents contemporary, artistic and transdisciplinary, physical and digital projects, in Brazil and abroad. TAL works with young cutting edge and with renowned artists, curators and producers. The artists have their works shown in events and institutions such as: Venice Biennale, Coleção Berardo, Itaú Cultural, MAAT, Haus der Elektronischen Künste, Pylon Hub Lab, MAM RJ, Museo Reina Sofia and Getty Museum. Gabriela Maciel is TAL | Tech Art Lab founder and director, she researches and develops contemporary art and transdisciplinary practices with special interest in subjects of arts, nature and technology. Artist, curator and producer, she creates and runs cultural projects in South America, Europe and Asia, such as: exhibitions, festivals, residencies, labs, courses and study groups. Her selected recent works include: “Tech Art Lab Session 1 _ Brazil – Switzerland” web residency and online exhibition (2021), supported by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia in the context of its South America programme «COINCIDENCIA»; “Changing Landscapes” web residency and online exhibition (2021), supported by the General Consulate of the Netherlands in Rio de Janeiro; “Digital Provocateurs”; “Matter/Non-matter”; “Well It’s Just and Ocean Between”; “Swipe, Baby Swipe”, among others. Gabriela was head curator of EV_Largo Art Residency (2019-2020); Co-Curator of Re_Act Contemporary Art Lab, Azores Archipelago (2017); Curator of the Dotmov Multimedia Festival, Brazil - Japan (2011-2016). Her curatorial projects have been published on: Art Research Map, DasArtes, Premio Pipa, Scandale Project and CAPACETE and Scandale Project. As an artist, her works have been shown in: Zendai MoMA, Shanghai; Purple Institute, Paris; Oi Futuro, RJ; MAR, RJ, and they have been published in: ArtNews; Transcultura O Globo; Global Times Journal, China; Swiss Contemporary Photography Association; Rumos Itaú Cultural; Labverde, among others.
